Our Quality Control
Dimensions is an ESOMAR member. ESOMAR's codes of conduct govern research operations of its members.
While Dimensions employs several quality control procedures, its projects are executed with 'quality-added' procedures in order to avoid being biased or contamination of its data. There are three stage quality control procedures applied to every Dimensions project.
- Stage-1: Generic quality control & checks implemented in sampling procedures and screening questionnaires.
- Stage-2: Project specific back checking and quality control filters for data entry.
- Stage-3: Researcher's involvement and random litmus test of the data collected. No quality measure can surpass human observation of the data and its source.
- Interviews: Interviewers are selected according to type of research and client's industry. Interviewers are briefed before every project. They are trained to understand all aspects of a project. All interviewers conduct pilot interviews before proceeding on to the main fieldwork.
- Back Checking: 30% of each interviewer's work is checked randomly. All questionnaire are checked for logical answers. Face-to-face call backs and personal visit are done by supervisors where respondents are not reachable by phone. The sample is monitored on regular basis to ensure target base size for each cell is achieved.
- Data Entry: Quality control & data validation checks are done for all interviews. Data punching program is designed with built-in logic checks. Possible data entry errors list is produced and records are compared. Project Manager checks tabulations for irregularities.
